Manta Monitor Stand

The Manta is a monitor stand for people who do not want to think about their monitor stand. It should simply be there — solid, quiet, exactly the right height — and otherwise invisible.

The top surface is solid oak, 20 mm thick, with a light texture from hand-scraping. Below it, set back 8 cm from the front edge, is an open shelf sized for a full-width keyboard or a row of small objects. The joints at each corner are hand-cut housing joints — they tighten with use rather than loosen. Finish is hard-wax oil in Raw, no stain, no lacquer. The wood ages with you.
